
CRACKER JACKS – COPYCAT RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
4 Quarts of Popped Pop Corn (10 Cups)
1 Cup of Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup light Corn Syrup
2 Sticks Butter
Planters Peanuts
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
DIRECTIONS
Preheat Oven to 200F degrees
Pop, Popcorn
In medium saucepan add Butter until melted, then add Brown Sugar, and Corn Syrup, cook over medium high heat until all ingredients are combined about 5 minutes. Add Vanilla Extract, stirring well and let cook for another 2 minutes. Then at last add the baking soda stirring to combine, then turn off burner and remove from heat.
Pour Carmel Sauce over Popcorn and add Peanuts, it’s best to pour and mix the popcorn on a sheet pan so the Carmel Sauce will cover every kernel. Pop in the oven at 200F degrees for 10 minutes, then give the popcorn a toss and let cook for 10 more minutes. Let popcorn cool and Serve, Enjoy!
