BAKED BEANS WITH A TWIST
1-13 Ounce Pack of Andouille Sausage
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil (to Sauté’ Sausage)
2 cans of Bushes Grillin Beans 22- ounce cans (Bourbon brown sugar)
1/4 Cup of Red Onion (finely chopped)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Cloves of Garlic (finely chopped)
1/4 Cup of Hot Sauce or 7 shakes
5 Tablespoons of Butter
Preheat Crockpot on high
Slice Andouille Sausage, in large skillet, add Olive Oil, add sausage, and cook on both sides until lightly browned, add red onion and simmer for about 1 minute then add garlic stirring for 1 more minute, turn off burner and remove from heat.
To Crockpot add butter 3 tablespoons, then add bake beans, and sugar, then add sausage, onion and garlic mixture to crockpot and last add 2 more tablespoons of butter, and hot sauce stirring to combine.
When food gets hot, stir, and put lid on and let cook for 90 minutes. Enjoy!
