I call this Game Day Chili for this reason; we are Baseball and Football fans in my family and when I would host a game at my house you can bet that Chili would be on the menu. I would fry up a batch of Chicken Wings and make a side salad and make this Chili recipe. This recipe will serve about 8-10 people maybe a few more depending on the portions.
I usually do not make this recipe unless I have company coming over because it is too much for me and my family to eat by ourselves, I only have three in my household. What I like about this recipe is, if you have Tortilla Chips and cheese, add the Chili and Sour Cream and you will have a great tasting Nacho dish, not to mention it is delicious on Hot Dogs, that is the way my husband prefers to eat his Chili.
This recipe is spicy but not hot, the Jalapeno Pepper gives it a spicy taste without being too hot. If you like 3-5 alarm Chili, then add Crush Red Pepper Flakes or Ground Red Pepper to taste to your pot. There is no right or wrong way to do this. In the video I added two cans of Chili Beans at first, then later I added the third can, you can add them all at once but when I was making it, I noticed that there were not enough beans because of the 3 pounds of Ground Meat, and I added another can. The ratio is a can of Beans to a pound of Ground Beef.
I like to eat my Chili with Crackers, but you can serve it anyway that you would like, or like I said make Nacho’s or Chili Dogs. I think you are going to love this Chili; the recipe and video are below, it is quick and easy to make, this is a recipe that you can throw together in no time at all. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!!!
