ITALIAN SAUSAGE ONIONS & PEPPERS
2-3 Pounds of Italian Sausage
1-44 Ounce Jar of Pasta Sauce
1 Red Bell Pepper Sliced
1 Green Bell Pepper Sliced
1 Large Onion Sliced
5 Cloves of Garlic Pressed or Minced
2 Tablespoons of Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
1 Teaspoon of Sea Salt
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
Cheese of your choice for Topping
Preheat Grill, or, use Large Skillet or Dutch Oven. Brown Sausages on all sides about 5 minutes per side, remove Sausages to a plate. In Large pot or Dutch Oven, add pasta sauce, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper flakes and parmesan cheese, stirring to combine.
Add Sausages back to sauce, then add Onions, Peppers, and garlic to sauce. Bring to boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 45-50 minutes until Sausages are tender, serve in a crusty roll, with cheese and put under broiler for 2 minutes until cheese melts. Enjoy!
