OXTAIL STEW



INGREDIENTS

3-4 Pounds of Oxtails (Clean with Vinegar & Lemon Juice)


OXTAIL SEASONING – Marinate for 2 Hours

1 Teaspoon Onion Powder

1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1Teaspoon Paprika

2 Tablespoon of McCormick Sunshine All-Purpose Seasoning

1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

1 Teaspoon of Dried Thyme

3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

7 Cloves Chopped or minced Garlic.

3 Stalks of Green Onion Sliced


Flour Oxtails and Sear on all sides

3/4 Cup of Flour, Coat Oxtails and Sear on all sides

SOUP BASE

1 Pack of Lipton Onion Soup

1 Pack of McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning

1 Cup of Red Wine

1-2 Quarts of Beef Stock

1 Teaspoon Better than Bouillon Beef Base

1/2 Red Bell Pepper Chopped

1/2 Yellow Bell Pepper Chopped

5 Cloves of Garlic Chopped

1 small Red Onion Chopped

Add the below veggies after stew cooks for 2 hours, then add veggies and let cook again for 1 hour.

Baby Red Potatoes

Baby Carrots

Sliced Mushrooms

Fresh Thyme leave 3 sprigs.

1 Bay Leaf


DIRECTIONS

Wash and clean Oxtails per directions above

Next sprinkle all above seasoning on Oxtails and marinate for 2 hours

Add Flour on Oxtails and Sear on all sides then remove from pot

Make soup base per directions above add Oxtails back to the pot and bring to a boil,

After you bring to a boil place in oven at 375F degrees for 2 hours

After 2 hours add Potatoes, Carrots, and Mushrooms, bay leaf and thyme and bake for 1 more hour, the stew should be done Enjoy!
