DELICIOUS ORANGE CHICKEN
3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
FOR THE BATTER
2 Tablespoons Water
1/3 Cup of Cornstarch
1/4 Cup of Flour
3/4 Cup Orange Juice
2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon & 1 Teaspoons Rice Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon of Sesame Oil
3 Tablespoons Sugar
Orange Zest from 1 Orange
1 Teaspoon of Fresh or Grated Ginger
2 Cloves of Garlic Pressed
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes to Taste
Green Onions or Parsley for garnish
Cut Chicken breast into bite size pieces (see video)
Mix eggs, water, cornstarch, and flour together until smooth, pour over chicken making sure all pieces are coated and set aside.
MAKE ORANGE SAUCE
Start by adding orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, orange zest, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir together over medium heat until sauce thickens, set aside.
Fry chicken in 2 batches in hot oil about 350f for 5 minutes each, remove from oil, raise temperature to 375F and fry again until golden brown. (See video). Bring sauce back to a boil adding water or orange juice if needed, toss chicken in sauce, garnish with green onions or parsley. Enjoy!
