Don’t you just love a nice chewy fudge brownie? I know I do, ever since I was young, I could not wait until my mom would go shopping, she knew that my brother, sister, and myself would be waiting with great anticipation to she what snacks she would return with. My mom knew that brownies was one of our favorites, so she would always bring back a box of Duncan Hines Brownie Mix.

The box brownies were easy to make, and they would cook up perfect every time. I played around with a few recipes trying to duplicate the taste of the box brownies and I must say that this recipe comes close. As you could see in the video, after they came out the oven, they had the same shiny crackly look on top that the box brownies have. And I must say that they were moist and chocolate tasting. When they cooled off, the edges were nice and crisp just like the box mix, so try this recipe for yourself and let me know what you think in the comments below. Enjoy!

1 Stick plus 2 Tablespoons of Melted Butter

1 1/4 Cup of Sugar

3/4 Cup plus 2 Tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa

1/2 Cup of Flour

2 Eggs

1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

1/8 Teaspoon of Salt

1/2 Cup of Walnuts (optional)

Preheat Oven at 325F Degrees

In Large Bowl, mix Sugar, Cocoa, and salt, stirring to combine. Stir in Melted Butter blending well to combine, add Eggs one at a time mixing well, then add Vanilla Extract and flour, (stir in nuts if desired) mix to combine all ingredients until well blended at least 3 minutes, or use a hand mixer, but make sure ingredients are well blended.

Lightly grease a 8x8 baking pan and pour batter in pan, it will be thick, spread batter evenly in pan, bake at 325F Degrees for 25-27 minutes. Let Brownies cool before cutting, cut in squares. Enjoy!
