HOMESTYLE GREEN BEANS, POTATOES & BACON
INGREDIENTS
3 - 1 Pound Bags Whole Frozen Green Beans
10 Slices of Bacon (sliced in Quarters)
1/12 Pound on Baby Potatoes, (Red or Gold Cut in Half)
1 Red Onion Sliced
6 Cloves of Garlic (chopped or minced)
2 Cups of Chicken Broth
1 Stick of Butter
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/8 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
2 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
DIRECTIONS
In a medium to large pot, add bacon and cook until slightly brown. Next add 1/2 stick of butter stir until melted, then add red onions and cook for 2-3 minutes, stir in garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, then add green beans.
Stir in onion and garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper, mix to combine, next add red potatoes, sugar and red wine vinegar, stir to combine, then add the other half stick of butter, let come to a boil, turn heat down to low/simmer, put lid on and cook for 45 minutes until green beans and potatoes are nice and tender.
