THE BEST CREAMED SPINACH RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2 -10 oz Boxes Frozen Leaf Spinach
2 1/4 Cups of Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup of Chopped Yellow Onions
4 Cloves of Pressed or Chopped Garlic
4 Tablespoons Butter
6 oz Bag of Fresh Parmesan Cheese (1 ½ Cups)
4 0z Cream Cheese (1/2 8 oz Brick)
1/4 Teaspoon of Ground Red Pepper
¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
In saucepan or skillet Melt Butter, then add Onion until translucent, then add garlic, cook until fragrant. Next add Heavy Cream, Red Pepper and Nutmeg, cook until cream begins to thicken about 5-6 minutes.
Add Cream Cheese, cook until it melts then add Parmesan Cheese and cook until melted. After cheese is melted add Spinach and Salt to taste. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Enjoy!
