AMAZING CLOVERLEAF ROLLS

Updated: Nov 30, 2022

Surprise you family and Friends this holiday with these Amazing Dinner Rolls. Baking rolls is not as hard as you would think them to be, one thing that I have learned when baking bread is, it is extremely easy to whip the recipe together it only takes about 10 minutes, the lengthy time comes in waiting on the dough to rise which can take between 1-2 hours. But once it rises and you put them in the oven to bake, you will see that it was worth the wait.

There is nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread going through your house, the aroma alone will drive you nuts. There are so many roll recipes out there, but if done right they will turn out amazing, just remember not to kill the yeast by adding your milk or water to the yeast while it is hot, make sure it is lukewarm.

Some people ask what is lukewarm? I tell them that it is slightly warm, like you would give a baby when you would warm up their bottle. Lukewarm is when you put your finger in the liquid and you feel a little warmth but not much, it should be a little warmer than room temperature. I call these Clover Leaf Rolls because they look like a three-leaf clover, and you can achieve this by putting three dough balls in each muffing cup.

Also, you can use only two dough balls and serve them like that, but if you use only two, then make the dough ball slightly larger. So now that we have that out the way, make these fresh baked rolls for your family for the holidays or just any day you feel like making fresh rolls, they will be impressed. The video and recipe are below, try them and leave a comment letting me know how yours turned out. Enjoy!

AMAZING CLOVERLEAF ROLLS

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup of Milk

1/4 Cup of Sugar

1 Packet of Active Dry Yeast

1 Large Egg

5 Tablespoons of Melted Butter

2 1/2 Cups of All Purpose Flour

1 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt

1 Tablespoon of Oil

**********************************************************

DIRECTIONS

Preheat Milk in microwave for about 20 seconds until lukewarm to the touch. In large mixing bowl, add Milk, and Sugar stir to dissolve. Please make sure the Milk is warm not hot or it will kill the Yeast. Add Yeast to Milk and Sugar, stirring to blend, then add in slightly beaten egg. Combine Flour and Salt, blending until flour is covered with the Milk mixture.

Add Dough to Standup Mixer, using Dough tool, knead for 3-4 minutes until Dough forms a Ball. Or you can Knead the Dough by hand for at least 10 minutes until the Dough is soft.

Put the 1 tablespoon of Oil in a separate bowl, add Dough turning on all sides until the Dough is covered with the Oil. Then, cover with Saran Wrap and a Kitchen towel and let Rise for at least 1 hour until the Dough doubles in size.

After the dough rises, turn out on a floured surface, and roll dough in a log. Grease a 12 cup Muffin Pan and slice the dough making 36 pieces, tuck each piece and roll into a ball like shown in the video. Add three pieces of dough to each muffin cup, then cover with Saran Wrap and Kitchen towel and let rise for at least 40 minutes. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Preheat oven to 375F degrees, bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown, if desired brushing with more melted butter on top. Enjoy!
