I was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, I love our city and I am immensely proud to call it home. Another thing I love about Pittsburgh is our cuisine. One thing on almost any menu in Pittsburgh that sticks out is our Famous Pittsburgh Steak Salad, which consists of French Fries on the Salad with Ranch Dressing. Pittsburgh is also known for preparing the same salad with Chicken, being grilled or fried or buffalo style and adding the French fries to that also. So, in the Burgh as it known to eat a steak or chicken salad without the fries would just seem odd.
Like I said in the video, it is up to you what kind of steak you use, but most used for this recipe is, Ribeye, Sirloin, Flank, or Skirt steak, but in high end restaurants you may get your Pittsburgh Steak Salad with Filet Mignon, but whatever steak you decide to use, the salad will be delicious.
Also use some nice crispy French Fries that will hold up under the salad dressing without becoming soggy. Try this recipe for yourself guys, and when you do, you will not want a salad without French Fries again. See video and recipe below. Enjoy!
